Josip Diminić exhibits his graphics in Hungary

Academic painter and sculptor Josip Diminić from Labin will present his art work in the Hungarian city of Baji. Art works that will be exhibited are from the graphic map ‘Istarski trgovi – Piazze Istriane’ (‘Istrian squares’), that originated in 1995 as a result of the collaboration of the eminent Croatian gallerist Marino Cettina from Umag, the author and poet Fulvio Tomizza.
 

Exhibition 'Contemporary Croatian Drawing' in Ljubljana

The exhibition ‘Contemporary Croatian Drawing’ will be opened on 30th January in Mestna Galerija in Ljubljana. The exhibition includes 120 drawings by approximately sixty artists selected by curator Tonko Maroević.

The Exhibition ‘Zlatko Prica – Donation of Coil. A. Stankowski’ will be open on 27th January at the Croatian Embassy in Berlin, Germany. The curator of the exhibition is Snježana Pavičić, moderator of the XX Century art collection in the Croatian History Museum, the institution that owns the paintings from that collection.
 

International Conference ’Remembrance and History in Central East Europe’

The International Conference ’Remembrance and History in Central East Europe’ will take place between 19th and 22nd January in Zagreb. The whole idea is to gather the academic and student population around the subject of researching the modus of ‘the culture of remembrance in the context of actual transitional social and historical questions, the challenges of globalization that are proceeding from the issue of reviewing historical remembrance and the possibilities of constructing eligible identity models.

Split City Puppet Theatre on the ‘Fadjr’ Theatre Festival

The City Puppet Theatre from Split will give a guest performance at the 24th Fadjr International Theatre Festival with a play based on the Japanese folk tale ‘The Fan of Youth’ by Jasen Boko and directed by Joško Juvančić. The festival will take place between 22nd and 25th January in Teheran, Iran.
 

Exhibition of Igor Hofbauer's illustrations and comics

Painter, underground illustrator and comic author Igor Hofbauer will present his art works in The Club ‘Kocka’ (The Cube) in Belgrade. The opening is scheduled for 21:00h of 18th January. He is well known as a poster drawer and as a member of Club Močvara Design Team, with whom he attended on 11th International Biennale of Young Artists of Europe and the Mediterranean in Athens 2003.
 

Exhibition 'La Monnaie Vivante' (Living Currency) in Paris

Exhibition of artists' works and performance art happenings organized by the Brétigny Centre for Contemporary Art Bretigny (CAC Brétigny) as part of the 2006 Faits d’Hiver Festival, which will take place at the Micadanses studio in Paris. Music Ring of the Zagreb County

A concert cycle of classical music in the cities of Zagreb County: Samobor, Zaprešić, Vrbovec, Velika Gorica, Ivanić Grad, Sv. Ivan Zelina, Dugo Selo and Jastrebarsko. For the duration of this “music cycle” renowned artists will be performing at a number of concerts in each of these cities. Nineth Dreamlike Bookfair in Istria

This year, the Dreamlike Bookfair in Istria will take place in Pula between 3 and 13 December. The bookfair has been created out of a dream of several people at play, gathered around a bookshop in Pula called Castropola. From a small, unpretentious book exhibition first held in 1995 as a result of longtime playing and dreaming of those people, the event turned into the biggest bookfair in the whole of Croatia.

Zadar Uživo_03: A R T IS T E X T U R E-art interventions in urban settings

The third international festivl of art interventions in urban settings will be held in Zadar between 26 October and 16 November. Two mutually connected urban locations have been chosen for this year's project: the ancient Roman Forum and the promenade by the sea. The project will try and answer the issue as to how to make vestiges of cultural heritage meaningful in the future.
 

The International Jazz Days: 21-24 October 2003

Traditionally, the Vatroslav Lisinski Hall in Zagreb hosts the Spring Jazz Festival in early spring and the International Jazz Days in October.
