London Consortium, koji čine Architectural Association, Birkbeck College, University of London, Institute of Contemporary Arts i Tate, od 14. srpnja do 1. kolovoza organizira ljetnu školu. Guest speakers include: Marina Warner, David Adjaye, Richard Wentworth, Michael Landy, Patrick Keiller, James Putnam, Hadrian Pigott, Shelley Fox, Mike Smith, Mel Gooding, Bill Furlong, Tim Brennan, Colin MacCabe, Mark Cousins, Barbara Penner, Kathy Battista. Imaging Contemporary London offers participants a chance to learn about contemporary art, architecture, literature and fashion in London. Artists, curators, writers and designers will give presentations to participants. From commercial galleries to alternative spaces, artists studios, auction houses and fashion ateliers, students will have a privileged view of what is happening at the moment in the city. Down and Dirty in London explores all things dirty and forbidden in the metropolis, uncovering the subterranean city. Transport, infrastructure, waste management, hygiene, burial rituals and the occult are surveyed. The course will present a unique take on London and its hidden histories. Information London: Behind Closed Doors is an opportunity to get behind the scenes at some of the leading institutions of the city. What is kept behind locked doors? Participants will learn how to access not only information, but places, objects and people. Site visits may include the British Museum, Imperial War Museum, National Sound Archive, and Tate storage facilities.
